Nominations for 2019-20
It is now time to fill positions within Corner Canyon PTSA for the upcoming school year. A nominating committee has been elected and is currently accepting recommendations for all positions. Self-nominations are welcome and encouraged. 
Officers and Their Election
The nomination and election process carefully follows the bylaws of Corner Canyon PTSA.

A nominating committee consisting of three primary members and two alternates is elected at a general meeting of Corner Canyon PTSA prior to December 31. One of these people is elected by the executive committee and the rest by the quorum of members present at that meeting, and the committee selects its own chairperson. If a primary member becomes a potential candidate, that person is excused from the committee and an alternate fills the vacancy. 

Prior to its first meeting, the nominating committee receives recommendations for open positions from any member of this PTSA. They deliberate and discuss the recommendations, obtain intent to serve from potential candidates, and select one eligible candidate for each open office. This slate of names is presented to the executive committee and then to the general membership at a regular meeting of the PTSA at least 30 days prior to the election. 

At this election, additional nominations for any or all of the positions may be made from the floor by (and only by) individuals who are members of this PTSA and have filed their intent to become nominees at least 5 days prior to the election. Their names will then be placed in nomination. 

The election is held in accordance with these bylaws and follows parliamentary procedure. Terms of office begin on July 1 and end on June 30.

​All positions require membership in this PTSA, Canyons School District volunteer clearance, and attendance at training sessions and meetings of the school district, this PTSA, and Utah PTA. Resources and guidance are provided for all roles. 

​Nominating Committee
​The following individuals were elected to the Nominating Committee at the December 7, 2018 general meeting of CCHS PTSA: Terri Francis (Chairperson), Melissa Hansen, and Julie Hales. Stephanie Rowan-Bailey is 1st Alternate and Connie Atkisson is 2nd Alternate.
